In District 3's escape rooms, your team is in a scenario for a set time limit, figuring out how to escape.
There are no lines to follow or set paths to traverse, just a space full of clues, hidden items, and puzzles.
Anything that is not glued or bolted down can be moved and may be an integral piece in your quest to escape.
Many experiences have some elements of suspense and secret rooms, which adds to the atmosphere and immersiveness.
There are many different themes, scenarios, and stories to experience, both physical and virtual.
Just like movies in a theatre, escape rooms will be added and changed over time.
Whether it be a birthday, anniversary, Christmas Party, or a team building exercise, we certainly are a fun filled destination that provides a unique thrill.
Teams can come in all kinds: friends, family, co-workers, sports teams, stags, and more.
The benefit from the experience will not only be unparalleled with respect to adrenaline pumping fun, it is also a valuable experience for camaraderie with coworkers, and an insightful observation of your team's strengths.

PRE-GAME

BOOKING

Check availability and book online by starting with clicking either links above "Regular escape rooms" or "Virtual Reality Escapes". Alternatively, you can also book via phone, e-mail, or messaging, although we may not be able to get back to you immediately if we are busy.
No deposits required, and no need to leave a credit card number. Let us know if you have any special requests such as booking outside of business hours, larger groups, party room, etc.

Payments can be made separately or together in full when you arrive. You can pay via cash, card, or even prepay from the confirmation email. There is a 25% discount for replaying the same room at a later date.

BOOKING CHANGE / CANCELLATION

We understand things happen and plans change. It is hassle free and no cancellation fee to reschedule or cancel your bookings from the confirmation email or by phone, even on the day of your game.
We don't need to know ahead of time if your group size increase or decrease, and it is ok to do so.

LOCATION

We are on the corner of 6th Avenue and Lorne Street, in the Warehouse District a few blocks north of downtown. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby to hang out before or after your game.

ARRIVAL
| | |
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your booked start time for payment and briefing. There is plenty of free street parking. While you wait, check out the store's toys, games, playing cards, books, & more, which is open 7 days a week.

ACCESSIBILITY
| | |
Both washrooms are gender neutral, one of which is handicap accessible. The majority of areas in each Escape Room are wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately the entrance to our building is not, but the staff can certainly help carry wheelchairs in.

IN-GAME

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
| | |
There are coat hangers and lockers if you want personal belongings out of the way. Phones are allowed in rooms for a piece of mind, as long as it is not used for photography, flashlight, google, etc.
Wear what will keep you comfortable moving around in a room for an hour. You keep your shoes on during gameplay.

PLAYERS
| | |
All escape rooms are a minimum 2 players. Physical escapes have a recommended max of 8 players, but can accommodate more. VR escapes are a max of 5 players. Your team will not be paired with strangers.
Typically the youngest group of players without adults on the team is 8 year olds. There are no age restrictions.

DIFFICULTY
| | |
Teams with none or lower experience are encouraged to start with easier rooms (~75% escape rate), as they should still get a good challenge out of them. Build experience for the harder scenarios.

EXPERIENCE
| | |
Players will be monitored in-game to help us provide the intended immersive experience, and to promptly give hints upon request. In-game audio and video are never recorded.

VIRTUAL REALITY
| | |
We sanitize virtual reality headsets after each experience to keep our guests safe. Practically no one gets motion sickness playing VR escapes while seated, with teleportation.
Nausea is mostly caused by fast movement (ie: rollercoasters), non-teleporation, and looking down from deep heights.

POINTS
| | |
Your team starts with 50 points, dropping 20 for losing, and gaining 20 for escaping.
Each team gets unlimited hints, where the first two won't deduct from your score.
Each minute you escape by, you receive an extra point.
You receive two points per achievement earned.

PEACE OF MIND

The door with an emergency sign above will always be unlocked for washroom breaks and emergencies.

POST-GAME

DEBRIEF & PHOTO
| | |
After the game, teams will receive a debrief on their experience, and can give a team name if they make it onto the Leaderboard.
There will also be a photo opportunity for memories, where teams may wear props, and hold signs & achievements.

TIMER ENDS
| | |
If you don't escape within 60 minutes, you can choose to replay the room at a late date for 25% off, or be guided to the ending if not too far off. Like a movie, we feel it is better to see how it ends, rather than being told or not shown at all.

DIVISIONS

We can create and maintain mini Leaderboards for added friendly competition.
Challenge other co-workers, schoolmates, other businesses in the same industry, sports teams, etc.
There is an achievement, bonus points, and bragging rights for the top team.

LIQUOR LICENCE

Although we are not a licensed venue, there is an option to purchase a one-time Special Occasion Permits liquor licence for alcohol consumption at our location.
Applications should be submitted to SLGA at least 10 days in advance.
